Wrap Dresses: The Perfect Date Night Dress

After months of mostly wearing loungewear, using minimal to no makeup and staying inside it feels so strange to get dressed up for date nights once again! We've started dining out but we're taking careful considerations of which restaurants seem to have the best safety precautions in place. I'm still nervous about going out and about so I've been keeping my social circle small and I've only been going to the grocery store once every week or two like we have been during the last few months. But I'm not going to lie, it feels SO good to get dressed up and to have things to look forward to that are outside the walls of our apartment.

I bought this wrap dress months ago when we were still daydreaming about warmer days. I wore it for mine and Derek's 11 year anniversary celebration at home back in April so it was nice to wear it while we were out this time around. Wrap dresses are one of my favorite styles, I love how classic and flattering they are. It's a style that truly never goes, well, out of style! I love the floral print on this one but I've also been eyeing this neutral wrap dress and this one with puff sleeves. I could definitely see styling those for a date night as well!  For this dress though I styled it with a pair of muted yellow sandals and decided to wear my hair up since it was close to 90 degrees. Gotta love summer nights, right? I also paired it with gold butterfly earrings that Derek got me for our anniversary from one of my favorite boutiques. I'm looking forward to more date nights in the future!
