We saw puffy sleeves get resurrected from their 80's days back in 2018 (sans shoulder pads, mostly) and since then this trend has only been growing. This puff sleeve trend is an easy way to make a statement and there's a style for everyone, whether you want a mini dress with a dramatic puff or a chic midi where the volume sits a little lower in the sleeve. Earlier this year I finally watched Downton Abbey and noticed how reoccurring this trend was in the early 20th century-based show. Also, I recently learned that during the 19th century women would enter rooms sideways because of how voluminous their sleeves were (only in extreme circumstances, obviously). So, it seems this borderline-extra style has been around for hundreds of years. Although, I don't know if puffy sleeves will ever be so big we have to walk sideways again. But you can go the more Victorian-era route with high-necked collars, additional frills and a midi length or the 2020 version of this trend, a mini. My favorites actually fall in the middle, I love the midi styles with the square neck and side slit. They could easily work during multiple seasons which is always ideal but then again, a tiny mini is perfect for hot summer days in the city. What are your favorite ways to wear the puff sleeve trend?

I practically lived in jeans before quarantine and I loved them but I've probably worn jeans less than ten times during quarantine hahah, which means that I'm mostly going for easy dresses nowadays! Love a tiered dress with puff sleeves <3 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
