Isn't it the best feeling when you swap your winter wardrobe for your spring one? This weekend I packed away my chunky sweaters and velvet pants and replaced them with floral dresses and white summery tops and it made me feel a little extra excited about the upcoming season. There's still a lot of questions about timing and when we'll be able to go outside again for something other than groceries but planning spring outfits and looking forward to the days that we'll be able to sit outside at a bar is making all of this a little more bearable. Despite the fact that I'm working from home everyday, I've still been trying to get dressed in clothes that are anything but sweats or pajamas. It usually makes me feel a little more ready to take on the day and productive.
I used to think that dressing for spring meant florals and pastels but now I've embraced the more casual side of this blooming season. One of my favorite spring outfits is pretty simple - a white top and a pair of light wash denim - that's it! It's sweet, simple and refreshing after months of wearing black, tights, chunky sweaters and heavy layers. It's also easy to add fun accessories too! I added a velvet scrunchie I picked up from a boutique in San Diego last month and my favorite earrings. I was tempted to wear sandals with this look but since it's not quite that warm yet I opted for a pair of rose gold metallic oxfords. What's your go-to spring outfit?

I love love love the jeans! You look stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis shirt looks great! The fabric seems so soft. I really like lighter-coloured outfits for spring, it's just nice to get out of darker outfits that we tend to wear more in the winter. Your Oxfords are a fun touch also!
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing my favourite fashion pieces for this spring on my blog, if you want to check it out - I'm wearing a lightweight, white blouse which kind of reminds me of your shirt here a little! In a more girly cut :)
