Plaid and gingham are my go-to patterns. They work well for both work and play, which is always a plus. This plaid shift dress has a classic fit and a fun twist with trendy sleeves. I'm loving the sleeve trend right now - flare sleeves, fun details and bold shoulders, it's so 80's but I can't resist! If I was wearing this dress out and about during the weekend I would probably opt for metallic sneakers or sandals. If you're looking to dress something up for work booties, heels or a nice pair of flats is always a good way to go. Booties can work all spring long but I am SO excited to lose the tights once it's warm enough. Where are you, spring?
