Stripes and Sleeves

Statement SleevesStatement Sleeves
Happy Tuesday! Can you guys believe this is the last week of March? This year seems to be flying by but you know what isn't flying by? This chilly weather! It's springtime and I'm here to show you, yet another neutral outfit. Once the temps warm up a bit I'm looking forward to breaking out all of my bright colored and floral pieces. But for now, I'll keep a few of my winter pieces in rotation - like my black skinny jeans and favorite booties.

Last week I shared a few 80's looks that were inspiring me. You all know I'm loving the statement sleeve trend. But what else is fun? The statement shoulder (no shoulder pads needed, though). This stripe top from LOFT is so fun with the oversized sleeves. Yes, the sleeves do slightly remind me of an 80's prom dress but since there is no padding in the sleeve it isn't quite as prominent. I paired it with a pair of black skinny jeans black booties, keeping the bottom half of my look a little more neutral and slimmer so that the top could be it's own statement. What trends are currently inspiring you?
