Happy Monday! I always love the fresh start of a new week, don't you? We were lucky this past weekend with cooler temps but it's going to get hot once again this week. And what could be better for hot weather than linen? You all know I'm a sucker for color, but I also can't resist a little black dress. This summery version of a LBD is perfect with the linen-like material, the buttons going up the front of it and the sweetheart neckline. It's both cute and cool (literally) for hot summer days. I decided to pair my favorite straw bag with it, despite the fact that I usually avoid pairing black and orange together (hello, high school colors - don't even get me started on how I had to wear an orange cap and gown for graduation). Speaking of high school, I've actually had the sandals I'm wearing here since then! These shoes are one of the few pieces I've held onto since those days. Anyway, this dress is definitely going to be on repeat all summer long. What's your favorite summer piece right now?

Linen is THEE material for the summer! // lol @ orange and black. I try to avoid that colour combo as well because it reminds me of Halloween :P But your bag doesn't look that orange so I think the combination works fine! My high school colours were blue and white, which I loved. Our rival's colours were black and yellow. My college's colours are black and yellow. I don't like being black and yellow haha. I feel like a bee // I've been living in shorts this summer! I recently bought a pair of shorts from Gap, so I've been wearing that pair a lot specifically -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
