Sweater Weather for Apple Picking

I love approaching the cooler seasons. Do I love winter? No. But, do I love the crisp mornings that happen beforehand? Yes, gimme all the sweaters. Do I love sipping on hot cider with a splash of bourbon? Yum, of course. Do I love taking the drive to the suburbs for a little apple picking? That answer is probably obvious if you've been following along for the last few years. Derek and I have made it our yearly tradition to go to New Hope every October for apple picking at Solebury Orchard. New Hope is such a precious little town and Solebury Orchards is much quieter than Philly's ever popular, Linvilla Orchard. It's a tradition that I really look forward to every year. 

 

Instead of going with the usual autumnal color route, I paired my favorite jeans with a light blue sweater. I picked up this sweater on a sale from J. Crew probably about two months ago and it's currently one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. I used to think that pastels were only for spring but I've kind of been embracing them this fall! Instead of booties I went with a pair of sneakers and accessorized with my sunglasses thanks to a super sunny afternoon. Despite the sun, the air was just cool enough to be comfortable in a sweater which was a relief! Did you go apple picking this year?
