What Would You Include On a Vision Board?

What Would You Include On a Vision Board? | Organized Mess

This past weekend I went to a Vision Board event hosted by SheXShine here in Philadelphia. SheXShine is an awesome community for women entrepreneurs, side hustlers and (as some would call) girl bosses created by Anna Laura Sommer and Alex Wynter. They are two of the sweetest, inspiring and highly motivated ladies I know so it was so awesome to see their vision come together last week. We got the first hour and a half to mingle with everyone who were there, drink mimosas courtesy of Pinot Boutique and coffee from La Colombe and snack on cupcakes, fruit and bagels! Can you sense there was a brunch theme?

After mingling and snacking we got started on creating our vision boards. I haven't really gotten a chance to sit and think about what I really want this year to look like yet so this was a great start. I was naturally gravitating towards travel photos (shocker, I know), simple design and words such as yes, dream, style, wild, variety and balance. 2018 admittedly not a very good year for me. I was so incredibly burnt out throughout the entire twelve months and felt like I was stuck with no direction. This year I'm going to focus on reflecting, minimizing my physical purchases (I would rather spend money on experiences than things), resting when I need to and living with more intention while worrying less. I always feel like I'm so behind everyone else but I need to remember there's no real time table we need to follow. Each of our lives are uniquely ours and I would rather just enjoy it instead of just comparing my life to everyone else's all the time. Also, my best friend Chanel was there as well so it was fun to see her vision for 2019 come together as well.

Whether it's online or an old school collage, have you created a vision board for this year? What would you include on yours?
