You know those random warm winter days where you feel like you need to be outside for most of the day because you don't know when you'll get another warm day? These pictures were taken on one of those days. It was a 65 degree day in December and one of my best friends, Grace, and I wandered around Old City, Society Hill and Queen Village, enjoying the beautiful (but unnatural) spring-like day. I even got to wear my favorite spring jacket! A velvet bomber jacket from Madewell that I wish I could wear every single day. Aren't days where you only need a light jacket the best!?
I paired my jacket with a few of my go-to winter staples this year - a striped turtleneck, these high-waisted straight leg jeans and this pair of white booties. I've really cut my wardrobe budget down because I'm focusing more on saving to travel later this year so I'm trying to only buy items I can see myself wearing over and over again. Everything that I'm wearing here are are pieces I've already worn multiple times this season and will continue to do so. AKA, they are all pieces that "spark joy" (haha, who else has watched Tidying Up with Marie Kondo?). I did a massive closet purge last June when we moved and sold/donated SEVEN trash bags worth of clothes. So it's safe to say I did most of my "tidying up" last year.
I'm so happy I finally got to shoot for the blog with Grace! We've been talking about this for ages during our numerous wine nights (find friends who love wine as much as you do!) and I loved working together. She has such a great eye and always catches the smallest details/moments others would easily miss. Be sure to check out her website for so many stunning shots - from portraits to travel photos to stunning photos of plants.

I bought a velvet bomber jacket from Free People two years ago but haven't worn it these past few months as much as I would have liked! I've been bundling up in puffer jackets :P // I binged Marie Kondo in two days!!! I need more. I also need a Marie Kondo and Queer Eye crossover. // These photos turned out so well and they're so playful, love it! Let me know if you ever want an extra hand for photography; I'd love to do it again! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

This outfit is so cute, and I love how playful the photos are! And YES I love those chilly but not too cold wintery days, where you can be warm in the sunshine and yet still rock your favorite jacket! Those days are so perfect!
ReplyDeleteI've been Mari Kondo-ing a little bit, but I'm bad at it. LOL! Too much of my wardrobe sparks joy!
