Dress: Lou & Grey (Via The Loft), Necklace: Loft, Hat: 5th and Elm, Boots: Just Fab, Purse: Just Fab, Watch: Michael Kors
I wanted to name this post, RIP Long Hair but I thought that was a little over dramatic, so instead I included a lyric from Vance Joy's, "Riptide." I didn't realize how fast time was slipping by. It seems like yesterday when Derek snapped these pictures of me but in fact it was all the way back at the beginning of October. I just re-wore this outfit last week, except I had to add tights this time around. And I actually wore the same necklace, watch and fedora with another outfit called Plaid Days about a month ago.
I never realized how versatile a t-shirt dress could be, I've done a few layered looks with this as well and I'm sure it will be a piece I can wear throughout any season. Also, I decided to try and toughen up my feminine style with these booties from Just Fab which are insanely comfortable. I've really been playing around with adding masculine pieces to my style like my bulky watch as well as adding edgier pieces like the fedora and these boots. I always feel stuck in a girly rut of sun dresses and circle skirts during the summer, it's fun to have the cooler months to play around a little bit.
This outfit is just so perfect in every way! I love the dress and how you styled it with accessories like the hat. I would wear this any day. And isn't it funny to store posts away for rainy days and when you pull it out, it brings back such nice memories? :)

I love a good t-shirt dress! Exactly for the versatility reasons you mention. I don't think there's anything wrong with a 'rut' of girly dresses, but what you've put together is very chic, so why not play around! CC x
ReplyDeleteYes, in reality there can never be too many girly dresses! But I agree-it's fun to play around. xo
