New Territory

Top & Skirt: H&M, Heels: Loft (Under $100!)

It's unfortunate that I've fallen in love with with crop tops since the cold weather has set in. Good thing they make crop tops with a high neckline and long sleeves. I consider myself to have a fairly conservative and girly style but it's fun to experiment with new looks sometimes. I'll never go so far outside of my comfort zone where my look is too revealing. I try to mix classic and modern looks.

Do you every try to go out of your comfort zone? How have you experimented with style lately?

  1. I loved crop tops in the summer but now that the cold's set in the only way I'm wearing one is with a high waist that tucks my midriff in! They're very useful for high-waisted styles though, none of that ugly bunching when something's really long underneath. Cute skirt, by the way - I am loving plaid at the moment! CC x

    1. YES! I love the avoidance of all of that bunching. And plaid is my current obsession right now! xo

  4. I tried crop tops over the summer; it was fun, but I always felt a bit exposed. I like the idea of cropped sweaters to layer over dresses this winter.

  6. This style looks AMAZING on you! Just like you I don't feel too comfy in too revealing clothes, so I also pair crop tops with high waisted pieces. This one in particular looks fantastic with those shorts. This year I started experimenting with minimalism more, where I try super simple outfits but with more tailored and sharp pieces. I've been liking it :)

    1. Hey Marlen! I've been trying the same thing! I used to add (and still do quite frequently) so much "fluff" to my outfits but it's been fun to go with sharper pieces lately. xo Chelsea
