Styling Shorts for Fall

Derek and I are trying to readjust into this idea that we don't get to see each other every night after work now that I moved two hours away. He visited a little more than 2 weeks ago and I'm strongly looking forward to a full weekend with him here in Philly. I love when he gets to visit and we can get a small glimpse into what life may be like for us if we get the opportunity to live together one day. Yesterday was 4 years and 5 months (ha, I usually don't count out every month, I promise) and the idea of living together one day is becoming much more of a reality, even if it isn't for another year or two.

This outfit is my new go-to for Fall. I picked up these shorts from a Labor Day sale at Urban a few weeks ago and have already gotten plenty of wear from them. The color is perfect for Fall and it transitions well for the new season. Lately I can't get enough of neutrals, maybe it's the whole being in the city once again. I just want to wear black, maroon and shades of grey. Also, I'm obsessed with hats right now, I remember my freshman year of college I was obsessed with beanies and would wear them all the time during the Fall months, now I can't get enough of these types of hats.
