Styling a Knit Midi Dress for Date Night

The rush of serotonin that happens when you put on a new dress or piece of clothing that makes you feel both confident and comfortable is a feeling that I'll be chasing forever. As soon as I slipped on this knit midi dress I knew it was one of those few magical pieces that make you feel great in and I knew I had to wear it out asap. So, Derek and I booked reservations at a new restaurant here in Philly called Bar Poulet - a champagne and fried chicken place and everything was so delicious. 

For our date night I decided to keep the accessories minimal with a pair of hoop earrings and a small purse. I opted for my favorite strappy sandals, which I bought at Target this past spring to wear to a wedding and they've ended up being one of my most worn pairs of shoes this year! I've been thinking about how I'm going to style this for cooler weather now that fall starts tomorrow - I'm thinking it would look great with a black leather jacket and a pair of tall heeled boots! Speaking of fall, I can't believe it's already here! Summer flew by in the blink of an eye and I'm going to miss it but I'm looking forward the next season. What about you?
