Stripes? Check. Oxfords? Check. Red lips? Check. I have all of my favorite classic staples rounded into one outfit! And the best part? This look is still casual. I kept the accessories and details minimal; two thin gold necklaces, a tote bag and a low pony tail ensure a casual twist on an otherwise classic, retro inspired outfit. I love a classic and feminine look but I love mixing boyish details into those outfits even more to keep it casual. Adding oxfords and wearing wide-leg pants instead of one of my go-to circle skirts keeps this look from being overly feminine. Isn't it fun to mix feminine and boyish pieces together?
This week, like the last few, has been an array of emotions. Monday I was feeling inspired creatively for the first time in awhile and I had so much energy but yesterday I was so exhausted I could barely focus on anything. Like I mentioned before, I'm just going to allow some days to be more productive than others and take care of myself, whether that means a 5 mile run on some days or binge watching Broad City on others. I've still been trying to get dressed daily, even if I don't pick out an outfit until lunchtime. I really miss wearing outfits with the intention of setting the tone for the day and, you know, to wear them out but I still find some pleasure in getting dressed for myself. Have you still been getting dressed daily? Or are you staying cozy in pajamas and loungewear? There is no wrong answer here!
