I Wore a Tulle Skirt for My 26th Birthday

A massive pastel tulle skirt is an appropriate way to celebrate your 26th birthday, right? Because that's exactly what I did! I celebrated my 26th year around the sun at brunch with my family and Derek before heading over to Frankford Hall for my annual party there at the beer garden. This was back in May which was already (somehow!) 2 months ago! I haven't had a chance to re-style this skirt yet but I did want to share how I styled it for my birthday bash.

I decided to pair my layers of tulle with a simple striped cropped tee. There were so many fun top options for this - would I pair it with a thin sweater if it was too cold? Would a halter top tucked into the skirt be the way to go for a party? Or would I want to play it cool and pair it with a collared white top and maybe a pair of sneakers? Honestly, the options were endless but I decided to go with a crop top so I wouldn't have to worry about keeping a top tucked in and adding extra bulk to an already full piece. I was definitely between white sneakers and these lavender sandals but it's A PARTY, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY - so, I decided to go with the more colorful, dressed up option. Would you wear a tulle skirt (to something other than your wedding or Halloween?), if so, how would you style it?
