Now that Thanksgiving has passed I am SO ready for the holiday season! Bring on the Christmas music, the twinkling lights, the peppermint hot cocoa - all of it! There's something so magical about this time of year. Everyone seems to be a little bit kinder, we're all running around buying or making gifts for our loved ones, sending holiday cards in the mail. December truly is a special month and I look forward to it all year long. There's always so much to do around the holidays in Philadelphia and we have our fair number of traditions so I've decided to compile a bucket list for this year featuring a few old favorites and a few new things to check out!
1. Go to Christmas Village and get a mug of hot mulled wine while browsing the stands.
2. Head to East Passyunk for the Miracle on 13th Street and stop at the POPE for beer and bar food afterwards.
3. Take a road trip to the Terrain at Styers for brunch and looking at all the beautiful gift ideas.
4. And another road trip the Peddler's Village for Christmas shopping.
5. Get an eggnog latte from Old City Coffee and walk to Franklin Square to see the Christmas lights.
6. Go ice skating at Winter Fest by Penn's Landing.
7. Check out the new Holiday Market that's next to Elfreth's Ally every Saturday from 11-7 until Christmas.
8. Make hot cocoa, listen to Christmas music and put up our fake little tree in our cozy home. (This one was successfully completed last weekend!)
What's on your holiday bucket list?
I just want to go to the zoo Christmas lighting.

I'm putting together my holiday bucket list right now so I was really excited to read yours when it popped up on my feed! I went to Christmas Village on the "soft opening" (did you notice on the FB event that they had two different dates listed...) and I saw everyone walking around with their Christmas Village mugs and I finally pinned down where they got them from. I visited Christmas Village again since then, and I plan to visit a third time with my friend, and we plan to get those mugs together! I'm thinking of getting the spiced apple. I don't drink, but I WILL FOR THE MUG!!! Not that I need more festive mugs... // I didn't know about the Holiday Market next to Elfreth's Alley, so thanks for sharing! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
