Fall Florals

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that Thanksgiving was already a week ago!? I hope everyone had a great (and hopefully long) weekend. Derek and I went back to our hometown for Thanksgiving and we had a nice time with our families. We always have to rush from one house to the next but luckily my parents don't live too far away from Derek's family so that makes going to two houses in one day a little easier. And the other plus? We get two Thanksgiving dinners! Although I'm sure most of you won't be surprised to know that dessert is my favorite part of the meal.

 

I wore this Doen blouse that I got a few weeks ago. I had literally been thinking about since July so I finally decided to order it and couldn't be happier. I had noticed the brand Doen featured on Emily Schuman's (Cupcakes and Cashmere) Instagram and loved how beautiful all of the pieces she was sharing were. This top is technically from their summer collection but I think with the muted tones it will work well all year long. These Agolde jeans have been on repeat all fall long (one of my favorite purchases ever!) and they were just comfy enough for a massive lunch and dinner! The older I get the less I get dressed up for the holidays, but it feels nice wearing my favorite everyday pieces versus wearing something that's just going to sit in my closet after the holiday. Also, adding fun accessories like a beret and a pair of statement earrings can go a long way. Speaking of earrings, this pair from Xenia Studios are my new favorite! They are so lightweight, you can barely even feel them at all! The best part? They don't tug on your earlobes like most statement earrings do.
