Fall Layers

We're currently in that awkward time of year where it's super chilly in the early mornings and evenings but it still gets fairly warm in the middle of the day. So what do we do about it? Bring along a layer or two! Two of my go-to layers are a denim jacket and a blanket scarf, both of which are super versatile and will go with almost any casual outfit. I picked up this blanket scarf about two weeks ago and I'm loving the colors in it. I wear a lot of maroon, cream and orange during the fall so this one will go perfectly with the majority of my fall wardrobe.

This was the first time for me to try out wearing a bandana as a scarf around my neck and I wasn't sure if it was going to work. It adds an extra accessory without having to try too hard, which makes getting ready in the morning when you're in a rush (which I usually am) so much easier. Also, I'm actually kind of excited that velvet is back. These velvet pants are so incredibly comfortable, I'll have to resist buying a pair in every color!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend/week. Last week I went back to my hometown for a country music festival that we go to every year to see Gary Allen and Thompson Square. We were worried it was going to rain on us but then the weather surprised us and the sun came out! Don't you love when things like that happen? Happy Friday, everyone!
