Ever want to grab dessert to-go? The Baker's Jar in Philadelphia makes it incredibly easy. The little cafe features a series of cakes in mason jars. From flavors like birthday cake, to champagne and rose, tres leche, apple crumb and more - there are plenty of choices for any kind of cake or treat that you're craving. A PHLblogger event was hosted in this space a few weeks ago and since then I have been back twice! These little cakes in mason jars are such a fun treat to give to a friend for their birthday or something yummy to pick up if you're craving something sweet. Located on the corner of 16th and Bainbridge, this adorable space is made up of wooden cabinets featuring the cakes along with succulent arrangements made by Bowerbird Garden which are all for sale as well! A minimalistic cafe filled with mason jars and unique succulents - doesn't get more instagrammable than that.
I tried the champagne and rose cake and was not disappointed. In fact, it was even better than I imagined. Rich and full of flavor, the icing was sweet but not too sweet and the cake was the perfect texture - fluffy and light. Plus, I love how the icing and cake is layered throughout the jar!
Don't forget to shop small and support local businesses! The Baker's Jar is located at 625 S 16th Street, Philadelphia, Pa 19103 and is open Tuesday-Thursday 9am-6pm, Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-4pm.

Aww this place looks so cool! I love that they come in a jar (though I guess that can get a little messy hah). The cake sounds delicious!
