Skorts for Summer

First, let me just say that I am all for the skort trend. The whole skirt/shorts combo makes everything 100x easier. You don't have to worry about putting on separate shorts that create bulk underneath when biking, or worrying about that sudden gust of wind that comes out of nowhere, plus it makes running around in fields for photos (lol) a whole lot easier. I bought this skort when I was living in England earlier this year. I remember seeing so many people out and about on the streets of London wearing skorts with tights and then I saw women wearing summery skort styles in Lisbon, Portugal on a weekend trip. In fact, I was so inspired I wrote a blog post at my internship in London called "3 Ways to Wear a Skort This Spring" at Sales Gossip. I was shocked when I came back to America and saw that the trend didn't seem to hit the states as quickly or as much. Still, that hasn't stopped me from having this fun, printed skort on heavy rotation this summer. That's one of my favorite things about traveling - seeing a new side of how people style things and being inspired to try out pieces you may not necessarily see all the time in your home place.
