Happy belated 4th of July! I hope everyone's day was filled with friends, family, fireworks and food (preferably barbecue and beer). This was my first 4th of July in Philadelphia and it was absolutely outrageous and crazy but fun. Derek came for the weekend to apartment hunt so we spent the day together. It was the first time we weren't with my family for Independence Day and although I missed them I'm so thankful Derek was here. I guess this is one of the first of holidays that we will be spending together in Philadelphia. It's hard to believe that after me being here for 4 years that he's finally moving all the way to Philadelphia and in with me! So here's to building new traditions together when it's just the two of us.
Of course, I couldn't imagine not wearing red, white and blue for the holiday! I was feeling pretty Lofty, wearing a top, skirt and necklace from the Loft. I couldn't resists this adorable french hen top, the hens are discreet but too cute! And naturally, I can't resist a seersucker skirt, or seersucker anything for that matter! I've gotten much more comfortable with mixing patterns which of course makes getting dressed that much more fun! What did you wear to celebrate the holidays?
Here's to a fresh new week!
good luck apartment hunting

DeleteHi Chelsea!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! I am bummed that I was unable to celebrate the 4th of July this year, but hey, there is always Labor Day right.
I love where you took your photos too! Looks so patriotic!

Thanks Chelsea! And yes, exactly!! Labor Day is always fun too. :)
DeleteLove that necklace and the little details on your top! You look a lot like Mary Kate Wiles - she plays Lydia Bennet in the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, a modern day adaption of Pride and Prejudice. Definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it already, they're on YouTube!

Thanks! I've never heard of that before, I'll definitely check it out! :)
DeleteI saw this shirt at LOFT and loved it. To be honest, there are rarely things at LOFT I don't love. You look great!

Such a darling look... I adore the skirt!! And glad you had a great trip with your man! On the 4th, I wore denim shorts with gold detail, a blue & navy striped tank, and gold sandals... very comfy and casual to watch fireworks on a blanket in the park...
