This weekend was a hot one, but it was also beautiful and sunny. Saturday I went to my aunt's house to celebrate my cousin's 7th birthday. My favorite thing about being home from school is being able to attend all of the family get-togethers. When I'm in Philly I usually don't come all the way home for birthday parties and that kind of thing just because it's an expensive, hour and a half train ride home and then another 45 minute drive to my parent's house from the train station. As much as I love the comfort of amtrak, it stinks we only have one of the more expensive trains come out this way.
But, on to the outfit. When Derek saw me wearing this he was instantly like "uh, you don't match." But who cares! It's been beautiful and sunny so I want to mix patterns and wear bright colors. Besides, I justified that this goes together because my skirt has the colors of both my top and skirt in the floral pattern. Good enough, right?
Those shoes are just so adorable! And I love the pattern mixing of your shirt and skirt - the colors in the skirt are gorgeous!

So stinkin' adorable! The mixed prints are perfect, those t-strap flats are so precious, and you are totally rockin' that vintage-inspired Taylor Swift look! <3
ReplyDeleteMy eyes went directly to the shoes...so happy they're on sale...I need to get some!!! So glad you've been able to go to family gatherings lately..it's nice being around family, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteI love those shoes! This is one of the few times I actually clicked on a link to maybe go buy something, but alas, they do not have my size.
ReplyDeletehahaha--"uh, you don't match." Silly boys! The reason we don't match is so that we can match things that don't match. Don't they know that?
ReplyDeleteI do love your pattern mixing. :) And that exciting pop of green from your shoes is way delicious. I just used the word delicious to describe shoes... ah well.
You look so cute girl! Love your makeup.xx

ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! Mixing stripes and floral prints is one of my favorite combos right now. I also saw that skirt on the American Eagle website and wanted it so bad, unfortunately it was not available in my size. It looks perfect on you though!
