A Simple Fall Outfit for Apple Picking

A fun fact about me that you're probably not surprised about - I love seasonal traditions, especially when it comes to the fall season. Apple picking is probably one of yearly traditions that I look forward to the most. Derek and I have been going every year since 2013 but back in 2015 we started going to Solebury Orchards in New Hope, PA and now every year we make the hour-long drive to spend the afternoon in this adorable town. A few weeks ago we grabbed brunch at Greenhouse, did a little shopping and then headed over to Solebury Orchards afterwards for a little apple picking followed by more importantly - hot apple cider and doughnuts - yum!

Obviously you don't want to be too dressed up for apple picking and a sweater with denim is usually my go-to outfit for outdoor fall activities so I decided to wear one of my favorite turtlenecks that I've had for years. It's so easy to dress up or down but this time I styled it with jeans, the black booties I wear with pretty much everything and my favorite fall cap. This fall has been unseasonably warm so there was so need for any layers. I was actually a little warm wearing this but I was determined to wear something cozy and autumnal. I know that we're about to head into December but what are your favorite fall traditions? And are there any holiday traditions that you're looking forward to?
