Happy Friday! How are we already halfway through August!? Summer is flying by, I went to the grocery store a few days ago and there was already Halloween candy out for display! Like, what!? Is it usually out this early? As much as I LOVE fall, I'm hanging onto summer for a little bit longer. That means no PSL's in my immediate future. Haha. This weekend I'll be planning and packing for our upcoming vacation. We were supposed to be going to New England for a week but the travel restrictions are changing constantly in that region so we decided to pivot and are going to Asheville, North Carolina for a half a week at the end of August followed by a few nights in the Smoky Mountains. We booked cabins through airbnb in Asheville and the Smokies so we're planning to do a lot of hiking and relaxing at the cabin. I'm hoping it will be the perfect socially distanced vacation.
I'll definitely be packing these Teva's with me. I was never sure about the sporty sandal trend but after trying it out myself I love it! They are so comfy, especially on hot summer days, which this one was. It was nearly 100 degrees the day we took these pictures! This summer has been a hot one, that's for sure. I was going out for drinks with friends so I dressed them up with a satin midi skirt and a basic black tank with gold jewelry. I also used my tote bag instead of a purse to keep the look from being too dressed up. Styling sporty sandals with a skirt takes the perfect mix of dressed up and casual pieces. Would you dress up Teva's or only wear them with casual outfits?
