Muted Tones and Transitional Styling for Fall

Muted Tones and Transitional Styling | Organized Mess

It's somehow that time of year again - time for transitional styling as we move into Fall! I'm not going to lie, I'm definitely going to miss the heat of summer. I LOVE summer, I love wearing breezy sundresses, the smell of sunscreen, drinking iced raspberry tea on a scorching hot day, early sunrises and late sunsets, the sound of the waves crashing while I lay on the sandy sun-soaked beach, again, I LOVE SUMMER. But I also feel ready for a transition and for the refresh that a new season brings.  I know we're still going to have a few hot days here and there and on those days I'll continue to soak in every ounce of summer that I can in a sundress, drinking an iced raspberry tea but on the days where the approach of fall that can be felt, I'll welcome it with a little bit on transitional dressing. Like this outfit, a pair of mustard pants with a square neck ribbed tee and leather sandals.

These pants look and feel kind of like a trouser and chino combo and I'm definitely here for it. I love pieces that can be dressed up or down and these definitely nail that description. In fact, I'm also considering ordering them in white as well. (And no, I obviously don't follow that silly 'no white after Labor Day' rule). I kept my look laid-back with a square neck tee and sandals for a movie date with friends. We went to go see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and I think we all really enjoyed it. What's the last movie that you saw in theaters?
