Layering with an Oversized Sweater

Apple Picking at Solebury OrchardsApple Picking at Solebury Orchards\

A few weekends ago Derek and I took our annual day trip to New Hope to go apple picking at Solebury Orchards. I look forward to it every fall because it always ends up being the sweetest day! I love getting to see the fall foliage on the backroads as we make our way to Solebury and walking around the orchard, taking in the smell of the apples and fresh air. We always end up with far too many apples, a cup of hot cider and apple cider donuts - yum! I love living in the city but it's fun to escape to a cute town for a few hours every once in awhile.

I threw a knitted oversized sweater over one of my favorite jumpsuits. I love pairing fall colors together so I was all about the berry red and mustard yellow color combo. I mentioned before that I'm trying to be better about buying things that I can wear all year long. That's what I love about jumpsuits! They work so well in the summer as an easy outfit but also work well in the fall with layers. Cozy sweaters go with just about anything my book and it was definitely the perfect choice for a chilly afternoon of apple picking

  1. I like throwing oversized sweaters over summer pieces to get more wear out of them into autumn! :D Hot cider and apple cider doughnuts sounds so gooood. Starting October, I've stocked up on apple cider in my fridge :3 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

  2. Oversized sweaters are the best in fall and winter time. I haven't gone apple picking in a long time.

  4. Oversized sweater look so comfy and kind of like a pijama look. But details make the difference.
Purse, nice shoes, and make up make it look a a lot more nice.
