Dreamy Airbnb's: Portland Edition


If you've been following along for awhile, I'm sure that most of you know that I'm a travel addict. I'm always looking for a new adventure and I have a high priority on taking the time (and money) to travel and see the world. My last true adventure was in May during a trip to San Francisco, which I just realized, I have yet to post about! (Be sure to look out for a post on San Fran soon!) But I've had a few mini adventures and day trips here and there the last few months. But now I'm feeling ready to explore somewhere completely and utterly new! This November a few friends and I are headed to Portland, Oregon for a long weekend. We haven't even fully planned our trip yet, we just bought our tickets on a whim a few weeks ago. We're booking an Airbnb within the next two weeks ago and I can't stop daydreaming about a few of these dreamy spaces, which are mostly, unfortunately, out of budget. But a gal can dream, right? Handbuilt Alberta Arts Cottage - $160 per night

I'm more than ready for fall! But, right now it's currently 88 degrees and incredibly humid in Philadelphia....we still have a ways to go. So, I'll continue to look at past fall looks and start daydreaming about all things pumpkin spice, sweaters, and crisp weather. There's always this sort of sadness that comes along with summer ending, but it's been so exhausting with heat wave after heat wave this year I think many of us are ready to move onto cooler weather. Chambray Stripes


 I'm sure if you've been following along for awhile you know that I'm a sucker for stripes and anything reminiscent of a vintage piece. As soon as I saw this dress on Modcloth, I had to have it. It's been one of my go-to dresses for my days off, it's easy, cute and comfortable, plus it's been great for the scorching temperatures which seem to be finally dropping. I'm excited to make my summer pieces  work for fall! I always love a good transitional outfit. Layers make me so happy!
I'm leaving Philadelphia for a week to go camping for a few days and then to a wine festival in Maryland. It will be a nice break outside of the city as we head into fall but I know Ill be eager to come back by the end of this week! I've never been camping before and we're going for two nights in Northern Pennsylvania. Wish me luck!

Floral Maxi Dress


I'm back! August was long and hot, I tried to go out a few times to shoot for the blog and I just felt like a sweaty mess and uninspired. But September is here and I'm feeling inspired and restless once again! I bought this floral maxi dress two months ago but never got the chance to wear it with how humid it's been. We finally had a cool day where I was able to wear a maxi dress with long sleeves - a miracle! This dress definitely isn't the usual piece I would pick out for my wardrobe, it's a little more boho than the rest of my closet but with the gorgeous floral print and it's pretty silhouette - I couldn't resist! 
I decided to pair it with a pair of gladiator sandals for summer vibes, but I'm looking forward to styling it with booties and a hat for a fall. Now that Labor Day is over, I'm looking forward to fall even though 90 degree weather is being called for in Philly for the next week and a half, at least. Here's to hoping that fall is right around the corner!
