Holiday Wonderland: Terrain at Styers

Derek and I made our way to Glen Mills, Pennsylvania for an afternoon to check out the much talked about Terrain at Styers. Fully enchanting and a rustic wonderland of sorts, I was captivated right away by all that the space had to offer. Warm, wool blankets, flickering candles, quirky books, spices, succulents, unique gifts, fresh skin-care products and Christmas decor covered every inch of the store. The store was reminiscent of a real-life Pinterest!
Easily inspiring, there are hundreds - probably thousands, great home inspirations waiting to be found within the space. Terrain at Styers is owned by the same company that owns Urban Outfitters, Free People and Anthropologie and you can easily tell as you're walking through the homey store. It's just more on the landscape and garden side of living instead of clothing. I could easily see it as an extension of what Anthropologie has to offer.
It was a chilly day, so I warmed up with a salted caramel latte from the greenhouse cafe which didn't disappoint. Christmas trees filled the outdoor space and I happily walked through, taking in the smell of the fir trees and the nearby bonfire that was burning under a teepee a few feet away. There were even blankets by the benches so you could cozy up and truly enjoy the ambiance. It smelled like Christmas and what could be better than that? On top of that, there were  a few other extensions to the main store in little cottages placed all around the grounds.
I wore this LOFT sweater for our holiday-themed trip, which felt almost too perfect. I'm a sucker for a festive sweater and this one is festive enough for the holidays but is also one that I can get a lot of use for the rest of the winter season. I paired this winter sweater with oxblood denim and my snap-button booties for a casual look. A baby blue coat was the perfect addition to throw on over the sweater thanks to the hint of blue in the pattern.

I'm already looking forward to going back to the Terrian - I can't wait to see what the set up is like during the summer! Looking for other day trips near the suburbs of Philadelphia? Check out my posts on Longwood Gardens and Solebury Orchards. Being less than two hours away, Cape May and New York City are also do-able day trips outside of the city!
