Cat Obsession

Sweater: Forever 21, Collared Top: H&M, Pants: American Eagle, Purse: American Eagle, Pearls: Vintage from Great-Grandmother

Okay, so by this point you may all think that I have a cat obsession, especially after sporting this new cat sweater my mom got me from Christmas. But seriously, who wouldn't wear this? I've probably worn it 3 or 4 times since originally getting it, all with different things. It's turning out to be one of my most versatile items, which is always great. This is one of my favorite laid back ways to wear this sweater, and in a few weeks I'll show you my more "dressed up" version.

Also, things have been transitioning well from my winter break at home to being back in Philadelphia. he biggest adjustment is getting used to having a cat here with me, I love having pumpkin though! It feels great to be so responsible for something and to take care of him myself.

What's your favorite quirky piece of clothing that you own?

Girls on Bikes

I'm sure you have all seen the January category for Free People. This is one of my personal favorite catalogs in a while and it's the perfect inspiration for the beginning of the week!

Happy Monday!

I think I have finally found my "blogging schedule". I usually reserve Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for fashion related posts and outfit posts while saving Sundays for photography or life based posts. I have Pumpkin here with my in Philadelphia, but looking back at these pictures from last summer, it makes me miss my pets back at home. This is our older cat, Rockaboom as she "explores" the backyard. I, obviously, named her, ha, when I was in Kindergarten, naturally.

Winter Color

Sweater: Kohls, Skirt: American Eagle, Tights: Hue, Cowboy Boots: Unknown

One of my favorite things to do during the winter is to completely take a turn away from all of the neutrals and bring a burst of color to my wardrobe. With keeping simple boots and tights, I paired a pale pink sweater with a Spring skirt.Sorry if I've been a bit distant on the blog this week, this is my first week back to Philadelphia and my first week of classes so it's been difficult trying to get into a normal routine again.

Happy weekend!

Polka Dot Madness

Polka dots have always been somewhat trendy, but this year I see them EVERYWHERE. It seems that the trend has really grown. I used to be cautious when wearing polka dots, afraid that hey looked too little "kidish" or not appropriate, but this season I've embraced the look fully.

Personal Style: I tend to gravitate towards navy/white trends instead if multi-color to stay age appropriate.

Celebrity Style: I love how Taylor Swift mixes polka dots in with her casual style along with her TV performances/appearances. She always pairs classic pieces with her polka dot tops/dresses, keeping a retro vibe.

Blogger Style: I love how my favorite bloggers mix up polka dots pieces in ways I would never think of, I especially love the layering and polka dots on polka dots.

Ditsy Hearts

Dress: Old Navy Crepe Dress, Cardigan: Target, Tights: Target, Shoes: Thrifted, Necklace: Vintage, Lipstick: Rum Raisin by Revlon

As much as I love the holidays it feels good to get back into healthy eating and excercise habits once again. I don't have any specific resolutions this year except to be happy and healthy, and eating the right things (with a side of cupcakes every once in a while) and going on my daily runs is just the thing to get me started.

I spotted this dress at Old Navy the first day they were adding them to the stock at the store, I was so excited, I grabbed one off of the dispay and tried it on right away. They had another one, in blue with little anchors on it that I may try on sometime this season as well. This dres may also be the perfect Valentines Day dress.

Dates Through the Years

The other night, I was laying in bed, browsing old blog posts when I noticed that January 2012 and 2011 had something in common with a date that Derek and I went on last week, ice cream! Ha. We probably go on way too many dessert runs, but it was cute to look back at the last three years through these date pictures.

As you can probably tell, my favorite dates always involve food and dessert. I would love to here other easy date ideas!
What's your favorite laid back date to go on?

Winter White

Sweater: H&M, Skirt: H&M, Tights: American Eagle, Loafers: Gift

Here we go again, another sweater tucked into a skirt . My comfort outfit, once again. I don't know what it is about skirts, but I always feel so much better about myself when I'm wearing them instead of pants. I'm happy that I've found a style that I feel comfortable and confident in, but I still want to continue to push myself style-wise to try new things without straying too far from my personal style. It's incredible how a blog has helped me shape my personal style, by looking at my outfits throughout the last few years it's easy to see that I've slowly been transforming into what I now consider my girly style.
