Hi friends, how are you holding up? I went into the week feeling okay but the second half was a little rough. As soon as I felt like I was adjusting to our current "new normal" (ugh, I hate this term) I was suddenly aching for our old normal. I miss everything. I miss coffee shops, wine bars, making travel plans, hugs, hanging out with my friends, just all of it. I know this mix of emotions is normal during a time like this but wow, it's just so exhausting, isn't it? I hope you all are hanging in there. I've been trying to find a few glimpses of joy between baking fresh cookies, going for a walk on a sunny day or a movie night (with plenty of snacks!) with Derek after a busy day at work. I hope you're also finding a few things to be happy about between all of this chaos as well.
This tie-dye sweater is easily one of my favorite spring purchases! I recently wore it on a trip to California and it was so cute layered over a dress or tucked into wide-leg pants. It's such a versatile piece! Last month I paired it with a simple slip skirt and a pair of sneakers for a spring walk around the neighborhood. I love pairing unexpected pieces together, a slip skirt and a tie-dye sweater wasn't the first combo I had in mind but I love the mix of casual and dressy pieces. The tote and the sneakers keep it casual as well! This piece could work all year long, it would be so cute in the winter layered with a collared top and it will make a great layer for cool spring and summer nights.

I'm doing okay. I have yet to get on board with the tie dye trend.

This is a lovely jumper! (I call them jumpers, I can't help it haha.) It looks vey Californian-esque, no wonder you took it with you on your trip! You styled it nicely here. Sorry to hear you had some rougher days recently. During these times, we should remember that all this will eventually be over and we'll get back to our old normal. Hang in there! :)

Yesterday, I talked to my friends on the phone and we also said it's something different to really see each other. Hang in there! Oh and tie-dye has such a comeback, hasn't it? Love the way you styled this :)

Thank you for your message in my blog.
ReplyDeleteI like how these two garments work so unexpectedly well together. This week has been rough too, we have been in quarantine for 34 days...
