A few weeks ago Derek and I took a day trip to Asbury Park. Cape May is usually our go-to beach town but we decided to switch it up for the afternoon! I had been been to Asbury Park once with a group of friends and loved all of murals, quirky shops and adorable places to eat so I was itching to go back. The day was low key (my favorite kind of beach day!) but we spent most of the day taking in the sun at the beach and then wandered around the town trying to pick where to eat. We were starving so we ended up stopping at a bar for burgers and beer. The perfect end to a summer day! Do you live near any beach towns? If so, what's your go-to for a day or weekend trip?
It's so bittersweet that summer days are coming to an end. September is usually still hot here in Philadelphia so I'm sure we will still make it out of the city for another beach day or two before the official first day of fall but Labor Day always feels like the unofficial end of summer! The days are already starting to get shorter which is what truly makes it feel like summer is ending, despite the 90+ degree temps we will be getting this week! What summer activities do you still have planned before fall is truly here?
Oh gosh, this summer has been so hot! This week is looking hot too, but the weekend is looking so goooood. This summer, I've made several day trips to NYC. It's been awhile since I've been to a beach town, but the more relaxed pace of life there (especially compared to NYC) is super appealing :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
