Boulder Field

Boulder Field | Organized Mess

Despite the fact that we've decided to live our lives in the city, Derek and I both love spending time outdoors. About two weeks ago we spent a night camping at French Creek Park and we often take mini roadtrips on the weekends for a breath of fresh air. I absolutely adore Philadelphia and love spending so much time in this city but I always feel refreshed and calmer after spending time hiking and camping. Last fall Derek and I decided to take a day trip towards the Poconos to check out Boulder Field and to go hiking. We packed a picnic and spent part of the day around a lake nearby and then explored Boulder Field. The field was massive and we spent a little bit of time trying to work our way through it but I definitely don't have the best balance so it was a struggle just to make it a few feet. The sight was worth a visit and the amount of hiking and the lakes that surround the area give you more than enough to do if you have the entire day at Hickory Run State Park.
