Flashback Friday: Spring (2015-2011)

Happy Friday everyone! I've had a busy week and I'm so excited about the upcoming weekend. Derek and I will be driving back to our hometown tomorrow evening so that we can spend Easter Sunday with our families. I'm so happy that spring is finally here, I've put together a post of some of my spring-time looks from the previous 4 years. It's been fun to look at how my personal style has evolved through the years thanks to this blog. I'm excited to share some spring looks for 2016 soon!

Wednesday Wishlist. 01.

Usually I've always been that gal to avoid plunging necklines but I've been loving this lace-up detail that I've been seeing everywhere, from t-shirts, to bodysuits, to rompers and to dresses! I even picked up a little black dress with a plunging lace-up detail from Smak Parlour a few weeks ago. And not only are these lace-up details in tops and dresses but in shoes as well! Not sure if I want to pick up a pair of flats, sandals or heels with this adorable and sexy trend! Below are a few of my favorites. (Hover for details.)

What trends are you loving right now? Another trend that I'm loving that I never though I would is sneakers with everyday wear! I used to swear that I would never really wear sneakers other than to workout but looks like I've gone back on that too!

Striped Tee Dress

I think this striped tee dress is easily going to be one of my spring staples. I've already imagined wearing it so many different ways. I'm excited to dress it down with sneakers and plaid or to dress it up with some strappy sandals once it's warm enough to go without tights. Speaking of which - this week it's supposed to get into the 70's again! Spring is finally in the air and I couldn't be more excited. I'm ready for some serious sunshine.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I was able to make it to York, my hometown, on Saturday to spend time with my family and go out to dinner with a friend who is visiting the States from Germany! I actually stayed with her around this time last year while I was in Europe for a weekend trip to Munich. Also, my best friend was in Philly all weekend so we got brunch and then I ended the weekend with margaritas with a few good friends. Weekends full of friends, food and laughter is the best!

Have a great day everyone!

Red Skirt

Hello Monday! It's super dreary here in Philadelphia, so what could be more perfect than a bright reddish/orange skirt? Right now I'm kind of on a stripes kick, as you can see from my last post, but then again, when am I not? It was so refreshing to not have to wear any extra layers with this outfit all day long. Can't wait until I can also kick off these tights! I'm thinking this skirt will be such a fun addition to my summer wardrobe, especially for beach days. And, it's already on sale for less than fifty bucks

Black and White

I know. In my last post I was preaching about spring and bright colors but hey, who doesn't love a classic black and white combo? Not gonna lie, I was afraid I would feel like a straight up referee in this outfit, but I'm so in love with this dress that I was able to forget about that. Classic patterns and silhouettes will always be my go-to. And what could be more classic than a fit and flare dress along with a pair of cat-eye sunglasses? I tried to make it a little more modern with my platform sandals (Oh, I so wish I didn't have to wear tights still!), a beaded necklace and a blazer with leather sleeves.
