Dress: Emily & Fin (Via Modcloth), Belt: Target, Heels: Target (On Sale Now!), Sunglasses: Steve Madden (Similar Pair)
This was one of those days where the sun was shining from the start of the day all the way until it started to set. I love long summer days and I'm sad that the days are starting to grow a little shorter already. Summer has been flying by, there are so many sweaters and scarves out for Fall at every store you walk into now! I'm not ready to bid my floral sundresses a goodbye until next year.
I'm hoping that August slows down, just a little bit. I'm already looking for another reason to pull out this Emily and Fin dress again before the summer season is over! I was instantly in love with the colors and it ended up being the perfect dress to wear for my graduation party. I wanted the dress to stand for itself so I went with nude/white minimal accessories including the 'LOVE' necklace my parents got me for graduation. I absolutely adore all of Emily and Fin's dresses. I wore one fairly recently in THIS post. They always add this girly retro-ness that I absolutely adore. Not going to lie - I love dresses that make me feel like a 1950's house wife. Do you think Betty Draper approves? I also may have a slight obsession with Mad Men. Funny how the things we love can add so much influence to what we wear.
I have yet to see Mad Men... but would like to check it out... a series to start from the beginning and enjoy... I'm LOVING that floral dresses that are 50s inspired are making a big impact. I believe we will see a lot of them in the spring, and you'll be able to bust out your dress again! :o)
ReplyDeleteI agree, though, I hope August slows a bit... summer flew by. The year didn't fly but... but May, June, and July were here and gone in a blink!!!! Crazy!
