2013 Golden Globes Red Carpet Trends

So, last night it's safe to say I planned my whole day around the Golden Globes.I watched the red carpet for the two hours beforehand and watched the whole thing intensely. I don't know what it is about award shows, but I'm obsessed. My favorite part of the night is seeing all of the trends and what everyone is wearing. Here were some of my favorite trends of the night.
Golden Globes 2013 | Organized MessBlack Dresses Accesorized: I'm so happy that there weren't too many solid black ensembles on the red carpet, instead, these beautiful blonde's opted for dresses that had features on them to keep it interesting. Stacy Keibler is wearing Armani Prive, Kate Hudson is wearing Alexander McQueen and Nicole Kidman is wearing McQueen as well.
Golden Globes 2013 | Organized MessDeep Hues: These deep purple and red hues are perfect for the winter. I love that Spring trends also make their way through the red carpets during red carpet season but it's refreshing to see the winter trends that are still in season, make an appearance. Lena Dunham wearing Zac Posen, Naomi Watts also wearing Zac Posen and Taylor Swift wearing a sexy Donna Karan gown.
Golden Globes 2013 | Organized MessShades of Blue: There were so many shades of blue on the red carpet! I think this was the only color that stood out against the shades of red, corals and plums. At first I wasn't sure about Lucy Liu's floral Carolina Herrera gown but I've decided that I love it, especially after seeing her present in it. Nicole Richie wore Naeem Khan and Jessica Chastain wore Calvin Klein.

RED: Red is one of my favorite colors on the red carpet, it's such a stunning color and stands out in such a fabulous way, especially on these stars. Zooey Deschanel had one of my top favorite looks of the night, pairing pearls and a dressed up ponytail with an Oscar de la Renta Gown. Jennifer Lawrence looked stunning in Dior Haute Courture as well as Marion Cotillard in an asymmetrical dress.

Princess Style: All of these girls looked princess worthy in these stunning gowns. Julianne Hough is once again, one of my favorites of the night, wearing a Monique Lhullier ballgown. Jessica Alba wore a coveted Oscar de la Renta gown and Kerry Washington wore a fashionable Miu Miu dress.

Pastel Lace: A big trend wore these lacy-pastel dresses, this was probably the most worn trend of the night. All of these stars looked so incredible in these gowns, none of them looking washed out or hiding behind the color. Megan Fox wore Dolce and Gabbana, Amy Adams wore my favorite from this trend, a beautiful Marchesa gown and Amanda Seyfried wore a gorgeous Givenchy dress that apparently, she gets to keep afterwards!

Sparkling White: White in the winter has always been one of my favorite trends. These were three of my favorite looks of the night, worn fabulously. Hayden Panettiere wore a beautiful Roberto Cavalli mermaid gown, Lea Michelle wore chic Ellie Saab gown and Anne Hathaway mixed things up with a 2009 Chanel gown. My favorite moment of the night was definitely when Lena Dunham won for Girls and when Girls won an award. So obsessed with that show, it deserved all that it got!

What were your favorite trends of the night? Who was on your best dressed list?
I would say my top five are Zooey Deschanel, Amy Adams, Julianne Hough, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence.
