Wearing White

Top: Moms, Capris: Levi's, Sandals: Target, Necklace: Vintage

Who says you can't wear white after labor day? As long as the weather is appropriate I'll be slipping on these comfy pair of levi capris as much as possible as summer is coming to an end. Stripes are such a timeless look that they pair perfectly with these capris. This top was actually my mom's 10 years ago, I love when getting "hand me downs" from family members, it's so fun to incorporate older pieces into your wardrobe. What do you think? Will you be wearing white after labor day? Do you incorporate thrifted pieces into your wardrobe?

  1. I always hated that 'rule'! I think this look is gorgeous! That top is so cute and I love the necklace as well!

  2. You look adorable! I love getting clothes from my mom, especially her older pieces, such as things when she was my age. And yes, I do wear lots of thrifted things. :P

  3. Rules were made to be broken! ;) Right? <3 haha, I really do like the simplicity of this outfit, though. The braided belt adds a nice touch!

I try to wear some vintage things now and then, but usually only vintage jewelry and accessories for now. I have a sweater or two that was my mom's that I can't wait to wear this winter, though!

  8. I love wearing old school clothes too...now that the 80s and 90s are kinda on their way back, it's not even far from current styles. Love these white capris, they definitely should be out after Labour Day!

  12. You look goooorgeous! I love striped anything. I think that top is just swoon-worthy, right up mu alley, as is this whole outfit! "No white after Labor day" be damned. Such a weird rule anyway. ;P

  13. I am rocking the white capris right now..wore them to school all day! the whole white thing after labor day assumes that it drops 25 degrees as soon as the weekend ends...i dont know about Philly, but where I am it is still like 85 degrees and as long as it is hot i will be wearing white!

i am also currently obsessed with stripes and the whole nautical theme.

  15. I am a huge fan of all my inherited jewelry. Old things my mom and grandma don't wear anymore :) as far as white after labor day... I don't think you can go wrong with a winter white wool coat. So classic and beautiful!
