About a year ago, my mom and I found a local bakery that specializes in cupcakes, something you don't see very often in the York area of Pennsylvania. I've blogged about it two other times here and here but it never seems to get old. My mom and I had a lot of cleaning and organizing to get done a few weeks ago so we started out our day with a drive over to Christina's and enjoyed a sugar filled breakfast there. I went with the lemon rasberry scone and toffee nut latte (best latte option there!) and my mom got hot tea and a milky way cupcake. I tried some of hers and it was delicious. Thick chocolate cake with a caramel middle and chocolate buttercream frosting drizzled with more chocolate. It even gave me some inspiration to try out new chocolate and caramel recipes in my own kitchen.
A caramel middle?! My my, that sounds amazing. I've heard that there are no rules for breakfast since you have all day to burn the calories ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha i like that and full-heartily agree!
DeleteThis sounds soooo delicious. We don't have bakeries that would specialize in cupcakes - or at least I haven't found one. :(
