Lately I have been so inspired to dress with a more "vintage" touch. I love mixing up pieces that remind me of different decades. Lately I noticed that the 70's and 90's are making a big comeback, ecspecially in stores like H&M. As much as I love a pair of wide leg trousers or a sleeveless, collared shirt; I love dressing up in pretty dresses or skirts right now. I also love pairing my new oxfords with my skirts and dresses. I think I will always be more inspired by the 20's, 40's and 50's. Taylor Swift is a perfect example of bringing vintage looks to the modern world. She wears a lot of modcloth and anthropologie, both stores are known for their vintage "look".
Do you personally like to dress with a bit of vintage appeal?
I LOVE vintage! Music, fashion, art - these days too many things are mass produced as cheaply as possible!
ReplyDeleteI love 50s, 60s, and 80s fashion. I love the silhouettes and spirit of those ages!

ReplyDeleteI am definitely a fan of the vintage inspired clothing looks, especially with dresses. All of the ones that Taylor Swift has are so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOne of my BFFs exclusively wears modcloth vintage-y dresses and they are fantabulous! I love them and wish I had money for clothes right now! silly house stole my savings!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to live vicariously through her, taylor, and you! <3
I really like the vintage look because it's proven to be timeless, but right now my wallet can't accommodate a full wardrobe of strictly vintage... One day though!

The 50's really were the best decade. I especially love the 3rd dress Taylor is wearing - the blue one. I for the most part pretend the 90's and 70's never happened though. Better to stick to the 20's-60's.
