An End of Summer Playlist

Last week Derek and I got back from a road trip and I couldn't help but think about how it felt like the last hurrah of the summer that barely existed. But then I realized that summer did exist. Sure, maybe it wasn't full of nights out at crowded bars or packed beaches but summer was still there. I still got to go for humid runs during pink and purple sunsets along the Schuylkill River, I still stood in line at the farmers market (although this time with a mask on), I still got an iced oatmilk latte a few times a week, still lathered on sunscreen before going out for the day, drank beer on our deck. Sweet summer was there all along and I still celebrated her in multiple ways even when I didn't realize it. But now it's time to say goodbye, almost. I'll say my goodbyes to summer once Fall officially arrives on September 22. But I'll be singing along to the end of summer with the playlist below.
