July flew by quicker than I expected. It was my last full month in the apartment I've been in for the past two years (excluding my four month trip to Europe, of course) which has been a little difficult to think about. I'm in the midst of packing now and life feels sort of hectic and uncertain but I guess that's what life is all about sometimes! Here's a brief look back at the month,

What I Read:
What Alice Forgot. By Liane Moriarty.
This quickly became one of my favorites! It's one of those books where you kind of immediately get attached to the main character and are anxious to see what happens to her next. I don't want to spoil too much, but essentially Alice falls at the gym and when she wakes up she has lost all of her memory from the last ten years. She's 40 years old and in the middle of a nasty divorce but thinks she is still 30 and in the middle of moving into her and her husbands (whom she adores) first home. The book really makes you think about how time can change you and what really matters within your own life.
What I Did:
One. Saw fireworks over the art museum for the Fourth of July. Two. Went rollerskating at Spruce Street Harbor with my friend Taylor who visited all the way from upstate New York. Three. Then we went on the 6ABC zoo hot air balloon after hiking all day. Got to see the prettiest view of Philadelphia. Four. Caught up with some of my friends from London at Frankford Hall for a friends birthday! Five and Six. Me and my roomie had a party at our apartment since we never had one after living together for more than two years. Seven. Went to West Philadelphia for the first time and saw a pretty house with tons of sunflowers (my favorite!) planted out front. Eight. Went to Christmas in July at The Oval and enjoyed the beer garden and a free outside viewing of "Elf." Nine. Enjoyed plenty of beer with plenty of great friends. As it should be.
