This is the first year in awhile where we celebrated Independence Day more fully. And of course, every independence day deserves junk food, country music and fireworks. Last weekend on Saturday there was a little small town fair going on down the street from my house and we went for the evening. It was such a nice night and definitely well needed family time with my parents and brother. It was so funny seeing kids get so excited over the tractors, even though chances are you were stuck behind one on the road the other day. This little fair consisted of old game booths, a "s'mores stand" set up so people could make their own s'mores, chapels handing out fliers wanting everyone to join their church, and stands set up to remember why Independence Day is so important.
How did you guys celebrate?
