Guest Post: Beach Reads

Hey everyone! I am currently in Ocean City, hanging out with my best friend Sarah. So, Liz here has volunteered to do a guest post for me about her favorite beach reads! She blogs at Chanel and Chocolate Cake. So, check out her blog when you get a chance, just like me, one of her idols is none other than, Carrie Bradshaw. Enjoy!

Hey girl hey! My name is Liz and I blog over at a little blog called Chanel and Chocolate Cake. I was tickled to write a post for Chelsea Elizabeth while she was gone.
Summer by far is my favorite time to catch up on reading and the beach is the best place to devour a book. Aside from having sand in the pages, its pretty much the perfect scenario for a day off.

These are my favorite books for the beach (in paperback obvis)

1:The Pretty Little Liars (by Sara Shepard) series is pretty intense for being a Young Adult series. The books are much different than the hit show on ABC Family, but they are super entertaining and a fast read. The 9th book just came out over the holiday and I am eagerly waiting to read it. (Weird fact: I cannot read hardcover books...it’s just too difficult.)

2: Beach Blondes is a fun YA read as well. This is a collection of books written by Katherine Applegate. It basically follows a girl to Florida where she meets three boys. (I always wanted to meet three boys during summer, so its fun to pretend.) It is a page turner and will leave you wanting to know what is going to happen with Summer.

3: Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin is recently one of my favorite books that I have read. It is about two friends who are sleeping with the same guy. One is engaged to him and one is his best friend. (I know, I know such a scandal!!!) But the writing and the emotions that the girls go through is so real and raw… I definitely think this books is a must read this summer.

4: Mr. Maybe by Jane Green is a hot and sexy read for the beach. I usually don’t like british chick lit, but the way that this one is written is just fun and hot. The main character, Libby is hillar and you really hope she finds that guy...

Even with sand in the pages, it was fun to tell you all about my favorite beach reads. Remember sunblock!
