Sweet 16

Yesterday I went to a friend's sweet 16. She had her party in the same building that I had my party in almost two years ago. As soon as I walked into the building I could afeel a wave of nostalgia wash right over me. I couldn't and still can't believe that my sweet 16 was almost two years ago and it feels like just a few months ago. I will never forget that incredible night. It was like what any 16 year old would want. I had a pink, sparkly party dress, about 40 guests, a DJ, heck, I even had a tiarra. The party was only about two weeks after I started dating Derek! I can't believe I'll be 18 this year......

Well, here's 16 year old Chelsea....

I wish I could still be as carefree as my 16 year old self. Alas, here comes college and moving out. Something I thought I would never have to face. But it's something we all go through eventually I guess. Plus, this is just a new beginning, right?

  1. Wow, now THIS post makes me nostalgic for being 18 and getting ready to go to college! I remember my 16th birthday clearly even though it was 13 years ago. :) My boyfriend and I had a quiet dinner at an Italian restaurant--very sweet--and he gave me a ring with our birthstones in it. :) I still have that ring! ha!

Going off to college was the best time EVER--look forward to it! The four years of college are the most liberating, exciting, and special years of your life. You have so much to look forward to.
