Oh, Christmas Tree

Hey everyone! I have exciting news to tell you! I went ice skating with one of my good friends and there were modeling scouts there! I was walking by the stand and one of the girls stopped me and asked if I was interested in modeling and I was like "no, not really" but then she stopped me and I decided to give it a try because she said she thought I had a pretty good chance. I got an official invitation for an open call in a few weeks. I'm really nervous! Does anyone really know what you do at a modeling audition? Or what you even wear? Or any tips? haha. I know not to get my hopes up,so many girls want this, ya no? Honestly I just think it will be a good experience, I'm just happy enough I was asked by a modeling scout to do it! Ohh and I checked out everything to make sure it wasn't a scam.

Anyways, we finally put up our christmas tree! I love the feeling of coming home and seeing that christmas tree all lit up. We call this tree our "pathetic little tree." We decided it doesn't matter, because it's our pathetic little tree.

  2. Love your tree...it's really homey which I prefer than the trees you see in the malls.

I had a chance to look at some models applying for the pictorial that I did some time ago. I'm the photographer. My basis for choosing the models is their confidence in front of the camera, their being able to project, and how they carry the dress they were waring during the look-see. Wear something stylish that you are comfortable with. Wear heels, it will create a lot of impact for the posture.

  3. Normally, they will ask you to pose in front of the camera with different moods and expression... you know the typical model no-smile look then a smiling face. Just practice those looks in front of the mirror so that you can confidently project on the day of the screening. Just have fun and don't be nervous, it will show in your face and the critics want to see confidence.

  13. Congrats on being scouted!!!!
The only suggestion I have for the audition is to wear simple makeup - they're going to want to see what you look like naturally (thanks Tyra Banks and ANTP, my only education on this!).
Good luck to you, hope all goes well!!!

  15. Wow! Congratulations!! That's really cool! You should wear simple clothes but chic (like a tshirt and jeans with a chic jacket or shoes) and natural makeup (a little mascara and lip gloss is all you need). Have fun and smile a lot!! xoxoxoxoxxo
